Wax melts are wickless scented pieces of wax that are melted in a warmer to release the fragrance held within.
They come in various shapes and are gradually warmed in a wax warmer (not an oil burner) to melt the wax and fill your home with hours of scent.
Unlike candles, the wax does not evaporate; only the scent dissipates. Once you can no longer smell the fragrance, you can soak up your used wax and start a new scent.
Wax is to be melted in a suitable warmer with no additives. Never add anything else to your wax.
There are 2 main type of wax warmer; tealight and electric.
Tea light warmers are most common and are usually ceramic with a bowl/dish above a tea light candle. These are sometimes confused with oil burners. The main differences between wax and oil burners are the size of the dish and distance from the top of the tealight to the dish. Wax warmers have larger bowls/dishes on top and the dish is further away from the tealight flame. This is to ensure the wax is warmed not burned, If you are ever unsure contact your wax warmer supplier or read the guidance that it was supplied with
Electric warmers are flame less and are powered by electricity. These can include small plug in warmers or warmers that come with a cord. They usually have a bowl/dish and this sits above a lamp/light bulb or on a hot plate.
Yes, please see the scent list on our main menu above for our year round fragrances. We also have seasonal and limited edition collections that aren't on the main list as these change regularly. We include the scent description on every product listing and they can be viewed easily on each. If you are searching for a specific scent you can also use the search bar at the top of the website and it will display products available in this scent.
We offer wholesale on all of our home fragrance items.
We do not offer wholesale on any bath & body products at this time.
We offer a tiered discount scheme dependant on the value purchased.
For unbranded products we have a minimum order quantity per product per purchase. Please note unbranded means no logo labels. We will always supply the CLP labels with our manufacturer details on as this is a legal requirement.
If you would like any further information please email us.
A drop box is a way to combine orders and save on postage fees.
Whenever you place an order you would like added to a drop box you select this postal option at checkout and then these orders are packaged together in one box and held here at Scented Rainbows HQ until you want the whole box sent.
When you are ready for your box to be posted you message us to weigh your box and we will let you know your postage options and related fees.
There is no limit to the number of orders you can add to a box.
We do not charge storage or handling fees for this service but to allow us to keep this service free we do limit the time a box can be open.
As per our T's&C's all goods remain the property of Scented Rainbows until received by the recipient.
Boxes can remain open for 6 months after the last order date. If no contact is received after 6 months of the last order the box will be cancelled and any goods not posted will remain the property of Scented Rainbows.
The difference is simply the weight of the wax and how it is presented.
It is personal preference as to how you like your wax. Some prefer bars as they are easy to snap and mix, others prefer pots as they are neat to stack and store and others prefer shapes as they are pretty to look at.
